Urban planning, beautification and extension project of the city of Beaumont

Introduction

In a context of rapid growth and limited urban planning and management capacities, Haitian cities have difficulties to cope with this uncontrolled urbanisation dynamic. Urban growth raises considerable challenges for development, such as urban sprawl, the infrastructure deficit and mobility issues. It is becoming urgent to provide municipal administrations with urban planning tools capable of meeting the current challenges of Haitian cities and ensuring their sustainable urban development.

Angola’s National Policy on Territorial Planning and Urbanism (PNOTU)

Introduction

The project aimed to create a strategic framework for the implementation of the New Urban Agenda in Angola, determining the main challenges and opportunities of the country. A set of possible interventions is listed, through pilot projects proposed by UN-Habitat for 2018-2022, in order to support the United Nations and the Government of Angola in achieving the objectives agreed in UNPAF.

2030 Sustainable Development Plan for the Autonomous Region of Principe - Principe 2030

Introduction


The Plan Principe 2030 was developed on the initiative of the Government of the Autonomous Region of Principe with the support and collaboration of UN-Habitat and with funds from the United Nations Resident Coordinator. It aimed to update and complement previous regional development plans, to give more continuity to the work that had already been done.
